Minced Meat and Waterchestnut Patty


1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

dash of sesame oil


2 tbsp light soya sauce

3 tbsp water

1 tbsp fried garlic oil

1/2 tsp sugar


  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir in one direction until very sticky. Shape the mixture into patty.
  2. Steam at high heat for 15 minutes or until cooked.
  3. Heat up 1 tbsp oil, pan-fry the meat patty until both side are golden brown. Dish up. Bring all sauce to boil. Pour over meat patty and serve.


400g minced meat

2 tbsp chopped garlic

3 tbsp chopped waterchestnuts

3 tbsp chopped carrot

1 tbsp chopped dried squid

1 tbsp chopped coriander

1 egg


It's best to use half fat and half lean meat to make this patty so that the texture is not too hard.
