General Manager


Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee & responsible for company’s overall performance in term of Profit & Loss, Operation, Costing Saving & KPI
  • Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions.
  • Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
  • Develops accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives consistent with the company's mission statement
  • Provide proper supervision and guidance by communicating division's goals and delegating the tasks and responsibilities to the staff of the division in addition to building and maintaining an effective working relationship with other divisions ensuring marketing and customer services align with other organization priorities and initiatives.
  • Ensure that the company policies and guidelines are being implemented and adhered to.
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring changes in competitors.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.

Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Master Degree in any field.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, English
  • Good knowledge & Experience in the retail sector, with min. 3 years’ hands-on experience in leading a team to manage the overall operations of a full-sized retail mall.
  • Specializing in FMCG/Retail Operation/Distribution Centre/Top Management or equivalent is preferred.
  • Required skill(s): excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, self-motivated and independent with high degree of initiatives and commitments.
